Dear Mr. Teo,

I hope you will consider me as an intern for the Reality Capture Software Development Project, as advertised in the Industrial Attachment Fair at the Faculty of Engineering, in National University of Singapore.

I was extremely excited to see an internship opportunity at Auto Desk, as it is my dream to work for a multinational corporation which focuses on 3D design software. I’m impressed by the 123D catch tool, which I have been using to turn ordinary photos into extraordinary 3D models and I would love the opportunity to be part of the Reality Capture Software Development Project. Reading over the job description for the position, I recognized myself. As you may see in my attached resume, I have more than three years of experience in C++ and I’m familiar with Matlab. In addition to my projects in C++, I am particularly interested in learning new technologies.

Additionally, I was among the top 0.1 percent in the All India Senior Secondary School Examination in Computer Science and also topped the School in Computer Science. I am good at learning new technologies as I learnt basics of Matlab within a week during my vacation. Besides which, I have a flair towards Reality Capture Projects and I love to work on prototypes for the next generation of products.

I think my skills and experience is an excellent match with what you are seeking, and I am excited about the chance to work at Autodesk.

If you would like to talk to me or schedule an interview, please contact me at 8989 9898. Thank you for your consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Sudarsan

  1. Hey,Sudarsan! Hongwei here.Excellent application letter!
The following are some suggestions for you:
    1. Maybe you should include your major and year at the beginning?
    2. Is it better to list one or two CCA activities to present a more complete you?
    3. How about adding a "sincerely" in the first sentence to make it more genuine.

  2. Hello friends sorry about the format it looks aligned before publishing, but in the blog page it appears in a very disorganized way. I tried updating it today but still it does not change.

  3. Hey Sudarsan,

I think your Application Letter is very concise and captures everything that is necessary for Autodesk to know about you. Just a correction for the second para opening, I think it should be " I am extremely excited.."

    That's all. Great cover letter!
